The glaze is where this piece truly distinguishes itself. Crafted from heat-resistant clay and finished with a natural mineral ore glaze, the surface transitions from warm bronze to deep black through a process fired at 1360°C. The result is a living finish — no two pieces are identical, and the variation is the point. One year of R&D by expert ceramicists went into perfecting this technique.

The Ulfur series is designed by SUNs, an emerging Chinese design talent and Red Dot Award winner, in collaboration with Element Accessories — a studio dedicated to merging European and Chinese expertise in design and production. A sister piece from this collection was selected for the innovation competition at Maison & Objet 2022.
