Amphora Rustica Terracotta Vase

The Amphora Rustica carries the memory of ancient vessels in a form that feels entirely at home in a contemporary interior.

Its tall oval body tapers gently toward the base, with a pronounced horizontal ridge around the upper shoulder and a short wide neck with a flat rim — a shape that has been made by hand for thousands of years, and still reads as considered and timeless. The surface is rough and heavily textured, pitted and uneven in warm rusty terracotta tones with lighter sandy patches that shift depending on the light.

At 40cm tall it has quiet authority on a console, sideboard, or side table. Leave it empty to let the form do the work, or place a single dried stem through the wide neck for a composed still life.

Care & Use
Dust regularly with a soft cloth or brush. Keep indoors and away from freezing temperatures, as cold conditions may cause cracking. The vase is not waterproof — use a separate inner container when displaying fresh stems.
